Al Sharjah sign Corinne Campbell, ex Leones- September 15, 2024
She was the top scorer at Leones in Chilean LNF league. In 5 games she just recently played she averaged 14.8ppg, 13.6rpg, 1.0apg, 1.4spg and 1.4bpg last season. The last season she played at Fjolnir Reykjavik (Subway League) in Icelandic league. She is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in thirteen different countries playing on three different continents. She is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. Campbell has played previously professionally in Australia (Knox Raiders and Wildcats), Finland (Peli Karhut and Vimpelin Veto), Germany (Rotenburg/Scheessel), Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki, GS Kronos Agiou Dimitriou and Ippokratis), Iceland, Portugal (Vagos), Romania (Arad and Cluj Napoca), Spain (Tenerife), Sweden (Hogsbo and Uppsala), Switzerland (Nyon), Luxembourg (T71 Dudelange) and Czech Republic (Nymburk). Among many awards she played in the final of Swiss SBL in 2023. She was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL Forward of the Year in 2023. Campbell is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Al Sharjah. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2011 and it will be her 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
